Amphibians can be hard to find in the wild. While they can be found in many different habitats, try looking around water. Lakes, ponds, streams are all good locations. Gardens, if they have water like a fountain or pond are also good places to look. In spring you may have a better chance of hearing their croaking than seeing them. Amphibians require a lot of special attention so they do not necessarily make a good pet for the first time pet owner.
